Acorn Locket

A few weeks ago, I found and bought some gorgeous bronze acorn locket charms and jumped at the chance to work with them!

It's taken me awhile to get the supplies together for this project, since bronze isn't a very popular material to work with.
All the jump rings and the chain had to be bought in just the right color - a brown-ish gold, not to be confused with dark brown.

Going for the autumn theme, I chose some carnelian beads to use as an accent for the acorn on the chain.

By hand, the necklace took a total of about four hours to put together.

Bonus, the acorn charm opens up like one of those pill box charms you'd find on a classic poison ring!
It's not very big, so it's not ideal for holding pictures - but it will hold other small mementos.
